We live in a world of Fast Fashion, a business model that relies on frequent, trend-driven, impulse buying of cheaply manufactured clothing and unlike single-use plastics we are tossing them away. We’re committed to the Slow Fashion Movement. Focusing on clean and fair production and being mindful of the environmental and our social impact on the planet.
The core of our collection is built on the classic crew neck t-shirt. We don’t follow fashion fads or create new designs each season, instead the Perfect TShirt is designed with durability in mind in order to cut down on the waste produced from discarded garments. We believe in buying less & enjoying longer.
Made Here…We have a USA-strong approach to production. This means the entire manufacturing process takes place here in North America. The design, dyeing and cutting is completed in the USA and the finishing is then ethically assembled in either the U.S. or North America helping us reduce our carbon footprint in our supply chain.
One of the most impactful ways to improve quality of life is by ensuring the employees of our partners are paid fairly, and equally. Thankfully, our factory owners agree. All of our production is 100% sweatshop-free and Platinum W.R.A.P. Certified.
Natural Sustainable …The fast fashion industry now accounts for 10% of global pollution, from toxic chemicals, water waste and a lack of sustainability.Recognizing the market needs to change, we focused on one of the finest natural fibres: cotton. It is sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable, making it an excellent choice as an environmentally-friendly fiber throughout its entire product life cycle. Our cotton products support more sustainable cotton farming.
But Fashion is Also Thirsty...Roughly 20% of the world’s water waste (nearly 20 trillion gallons or 79 trillion liters) is caused by the fashion industry every year. One pair of jeans requires 660 gallons (2,500 liters) of water from seed to retail, equivalent to the amount of water for one person for 3.5 years.
To reduce our water footprint our production partners use dying machines that use 3 gallons of water per pound of fabric - industry standard is 21 gallons of water per pound. A green energy exchange system creates steam to heat these machines - not created by burning biomass like sugar cane, palm and other trees.
Eco Dyed…All of our fabric is cut and dyed in the USA using the most eco-friendly dyes using 7x less water than the average garment manufacture (low water dyes).
Biodegradable Packaging…Our packaging is 100% plastic-free and biodegradable. We ship all products in a bag that is 100% biodegradable - it’s truly a “dirt bag”. Made from plants, our shipper is certified home compostable and will biodegrade safely in a backyard compost within 180 days.
Our cotton hang tags are made from 100% recycled t-shirt offcuts - stuff that normally gets thrown away.
...little things add up
Perfect TShirt Co. started with a simple, and in retrospect naive goal - to create the perfect t-shirt. We wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time. Through our ground-up approach to product creation, we created something better: versatile, timeless staples, built to last from the finest natural fibres, so you can wear them day-in and day-out, for years to come. Buy Less - Buy Better
